Liza Goddard & Alan Ayckbourn during rehearsals for the world premiere of If I Were You in 2006. This marked the first time Alan had directed since his stroke earlier in the year and marked the beginning of all his rehearsals taking place in his own rehearsal room next to his home in Scarborough.

John Branwell & Lisa Goddard in the world premiere of If I Were You at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough, in 2006. This was the first new play by Alan Ayckbourn to be premiered since his stroke earlier in the year and had been completed just days prior to the stroke.
